The HCL Foundation, through its flagship program Samuday, is inviting proposals for the ‘Implementation of Precision Agriculture through tech-based approach for marginal farmers’ in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. This initiative aims to enhance productivity by providing farmers with climate information and alerts, introducing precision agriculture and IoT to reduce cultivation costs and production losses.

Objectives of the HCL Foundation’s Samuday Program

  1. Developing a User-Friendly Application/Dashboard: The proposal seeks to create an easy-to-use application or dashboard that provides farmers with information on crop production estimation and other relevant agricultural data.
  2. Providing Real-Time Advisory to Farmers: The project aims to offer real-time advisory services to farmers via smartphones, focusing on field crops, soil status, and weather forecasts.
  3. Increasing Farmers’ Income: By implementing Integrated Nutrient Management and Integrated Pest Management practices, the proposal intends to boost farmers’ income by improving crop yields and reducing losses.

Who Can Apply

Not-for-profit organizations with valid 12A and 80G certificates are preferred, but the application is also open to business firms/for-profit organizations with expertise in the thematic area.
